In 1994, Phytoclone, an initiative of Sylvie Deslauriers and Frédérick Laforge, both experienced agronomists, established roots in St-Etienne-des-Grès, in the heart of the province of Quebec. Since then the company has offered a large selection of plugs and liners of clematis, lilacs, berries, rhododendrons, roses and other plants, on demand.
Annually, Phytoclone produces close to half a million plants, making it the biggest in vitro micro-propagation laboratory, in terms of production and installation, in Quebec.
